International Cooperation
The staff of the department conducts joint research with foreign colleagues from different countries. The results of the international studies are published in numerous articles and abstracts of conferences in Ukraine and abroad.
The department has experience in conducting common geological practices with the universities of Poland and France. In 2016 – 2017 students of the AGH University of Science and Technology, Jagiellonian University and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland) participated in the field trip to the geological training grounds of the department in the Middle Dnieper and the Azov Sea areas. On the invitation of the Polish side (Jagiellonian University) in 2018, students of the Dnipro University of Technology under the guidance of the head of the department Serhii Shevchenko participated the geological field routes in Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Poland) and took part in a students’ scientific conference.
In the field of conducting international educational and scientific projects, the department cooperates with the AGH University of Science and Technology. In 2019, in the frames of the IncluESEE project of the EIT Raw Materials program, under the guidance of Prof. Adam Piestrzyński and Prof. Michał Stefaniuk, the geological school for students of the Dnipro University of Technology and Kryvyi Rih National University was held, as well as the expedition to the Azov Sea training ground of the geological practice. Within the framework of the same project, a course for students was delivered by specialists of the Geological Survey of Finland under the leadership of Prof. Ferenc Molnar.
The department cooperates with the University of Poitiers (France). In 2018, an employee of the department Yevheniia Soldatenko defended a doctorate thesis on the Earth Sciences in France.
Besides, the students of the university participate in the field practices of the Dnipro University of Technology.
In 2017 - 2020, teaching and training mobilities at the universities of the European Union and other countries (Poland, France, Croatia, Spain, Turkey) were held by Serhii Shevchenko, Ihor Nikitenko, Natalia Bilan, Olha Tereshkova, Dmytro Prykhodchenko, Evheniia Soldatenko.
