Geological Practices

Almost since its foundation, the Department conducts educational geological practices. From 1955 the first general geological practice was held in the Crimea, the second practice for geological mapping – in the North Caucasus. Currently, the practice is held on two training grounds - in the Azov Sea area and the Middle Dnieper area.

The curriculum includes such practices as follows:

For the students of the speciality 103 Earth Sciences (first (bachelor) level)
• Educational Geological Practice with the Application of topographic Methods (1st year, first (bachelor) level);
• Complex Educational Practice on Geological Mapping (2nd year, first (bachelor) level). 

For students of the 1st year training of the speciality 184 Mining (first (bachelor) level)
